Mahogany Mommies is an inclusive T-Shirt Brand sparking meaningful conversations and spreading good vibes one Tee at a time.
Mahogany Mommies launched in February 2020 by founder Joi Cobb, a black mom of three, and high school business teacher. While dealing with depression and struggling financially, she decided to finally bet on herself. Inspired by her love of spreading positivity and wanting a better life for her children, Joi used her rent money to launch Mahogany Mommies.
Joi envisioned creating t-shirts that spread love, highlights social issues, and serves as icebreakers for hard conversations.
Thus far, this journey has not only allowed her to help others express beliefs that they're passionate about, but to give back to various causes and schools.

Fits nicely, material is comfy and my gaslighter didn’t seem to enjoy it.
Great sweatshirt! Not a bulky 'gym' one nor super thin. I was so pleased when I got this. Good quality, super soft inside and the lettering will last. This was my "sample" to try them out. I'll be ordering more. Solidly recommend!!
I was really excited to get this shirt! I am 4'8" and got a size small. It is long enough for me to tie it in a little knot which I do for most of my shirts because my torso is so short. The fabric is soft and the shirt fit exactly the way I was hoping it would! I get irritated by certain textures and this is perfect and good quality! This shirt is going to get a lot of wear!!!! Already have received several compliments.♡ thank you!

This shirt is so soft and comfy! Worth every penny for this alone, BUT THEN we get artful conversation starters as well <3 VERY HAPPY with my purchase. Women's sizing is fitted, go unsex if you want something with a baggy fit. Holds up well in the wash; so far no signs of piling or cracking even though I've washed it a bunch in the last 6 months.

I LOVE my shirt! It allows me to speak to three causes that are near and dear to my heart. I selected the black shirt with blue letters because it best aligns with my sorority colors (Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.) and one of my local chapter’s Z-HOPE Initiatives of having Hydration Stations in our Adopt a School to remind students, teachers, administrators, and parents to “Drink Water” to stay hydrated. Studies show that student performance is enhanced when properly hydrated. Second, we know that the Word teaches us that “LOVE” is the greatest commandment of all; even when it’s ‘hard’ and not always reciprocated. And, finally, “Fight Racism”… well, we know what our mission is. So, thank you for this beautiful t-shirt that says everything I need to say!

After a nearly three week wait time for arrival, the phrase I ordered is not the one I received. I already have a shirt very similar to this, so it’s more of a duplicate of a previous purchase. I’ve sent two e-mails now and hope to get some resolution on the matter. I really, really want to be supportive, but the service on this purchase has been quite unsatisfactory.
My order showed up without any writing. I was shipped plain black shirts. This is not what I asked for.

Love Mahogany Mommies t-shirts: 1) the text message on the front of the shirt always aligns with my views, 2) the fabric is soft!!!! I love that!!
I really wanted to love these shirts, but it pulls too much across the chesr, the armscye is WAY too large, and the across-the-chest measure too narrow. I had to put on a light sports bra to wear with the tank top just so my sideboob wouldn't be indecent with "mixed company". In a regular bra, it pulls even more and reveals too much bra there to wear in public. The tshirts are cut the same, the armscyes so deep/narrow that it feels like a dolman sleeve. Everything else about them is great- the size is correct, the fabric is comfy, the print is good. They just aren't cut correctly- almost to the point of being unwearable in public (which of course I want to!) Wish I could give a better review. Fix the fit, and I will buy more!
